To approve the minutes from the last meeting of the Full Committee.

The minutes of the meeting held on 24 January 2023 were agreed by the members present and then signed by the Chairman.

Apologies for absence were received on behalf of Councillor Bhinder.

There were no declarations of interest.

There was no public participation.

P Wortley introduced the report and explained that the policy and fees were due to be renewed. He advised he had removed the fire regulations from the policy as these were covered under different legislation now. The original fees were detailed on page 2 of the report and the revised fees were at Annex 2. He highlighted that the proposed fees included a 10% increase. He welcomed questions from the committee.

Councillor Allen asked when the last fee increase was. P Wortley advised that the fees had remained the same since 2015.

Councillor Rogers asked if glamping and land pods were covered under this policy. P Wortley replied that was something that was covered by the planning department. This policy covered mobile homes of permanent residence.

Councillor Pringle expressed concern about the increase in fees because of the cost of living crisis. She asked if there would be any assistance for those struggling to pay the increase in fees. P Wortley responded that there wasn’t support for the fee increase but explained that the fees would be payable by the site owners and he anticipated that these would be affordable.

Decision

The committee agreed the mobile home policy and fees.
