Main General Employment Areas across Dacorum
are currently protected from Permitted Development Rights for
conversion to residential use by existing Article 4 Directions made
and confirmed in 2019. Those Article 4 Directions will cease to
have effect from 1 August 2022. Without the protection of immediate
Article 4 Directions there is substantial risk of irreversible
losses to key commercial buildings across Dacorum as the protection
afforded by the existing Article 4 Directions lapses on 1 August
2022.
