Decision:
To approve the appointment of Rock Townsend up to a sum of
£294,165.00 to undertake Architectural Design Stages 2 and 3
on The Project Civic Zone Regeneration via a direct appointment
through the Watford Community Housing Trust (WCHT) Framework.
The breakdown of the expenditure will be as follows:
Stage 2 - £83,850.00
Stage 3 - £210,315.00
The Council already have approval for Stage 1 at a cost of
£33,540. This will bring the total value to
£327,705.
Reason:
The consultant has already undertaken Architectural services to
support the project and therefore has gained significant knowledge
of the scheme. Appointing through the WCHT framework enables us to
maintain programme and deliver the project within the required
timescales.
To approve the appointment of Rock Townsend up
to a sum of £294,165.00 to undertake Architectural Design
Stages 2 and 3 on The Project Civic Zone Regeneration via a direct
appointment through the Watford Community Housing Trust (WCHT)
Framework.
The Council used Rock Townsend to carry out
the initial feasibility for the Civic Zone Regeneration site. The
Council considered tendering this contract for the further stages
however this would of been counter productive due to the work
already carried out.
