Purpose:

The Council have appointed Kier Services Limited via the Scape Framework Agreement for Minor Works to carry out the refurbishment works to the Tring Sports Centre.
This project is broken down into 3 stages:
-Stage 1 - feasibility study
-Stage 2 - pre-construction works
-Stage 3 – construction works.
The feasibility study has been completed and agreement on a broad scope of works has been completed. Some pre-construction work has been undertaken (at a cost of £33,274.53). However, in order to progress the project it is necessary to undertake detailed surveys for mechanical and electrical design, drainage and asbestos (with a cost of £27,650).
Once this work is complete, the Council will have a final figure to carry out the construction works. This will be signed off via a separate Officer Decision Sheet (in line with the Cabinet Report approval).

Decision:

To extend the agreement with Kier Services Limited in relation to the planned refurbishment works at Tring Sports Centre (as approved in the Cabinet Report – Dec 2016).

Alternative options considered:

This is an extension to the scope of a current contract. There is no other options to consider at this time.
