In 2019, the government working with Homes
England, designated Hemel Hempstead a Garden Town after a
successful transformational garden communities bid.
Over the next 9 months, the programme has a key priority to support
the delivery of the Local Plans for both Dacorum and St Albans City
and District Council.
Further resource from Hyas Associates is sought to allow the
delivery of continued progress of some key milestones, including
supporting the authorities with key workstreams to secure the
submission of both Local Plans next Spring.

The Council’s Parking Enforcement
Services contract (Lots 1 and 2) was awarded in 2018 for a 5-year
period (expiry in March 2023) with the option to extend for up to a
further 5-years. In early 2023 the contract was extended for a
period of 2-years. There is provision within the terms of the
current contract to make a further six-month extension.
