Purpose:
DHT is the Council’s key partner in
supporting history and heritage activities in Dacorum. The council
wishes to continue this support and both parties have agreed to
work together to achieve a set of activities and outcomes as set
out in the SLA.
Decision:
To provide a grant of £59,160 to enable
DHT to continue providing their services to Dacorum residents. Also
to agree set of outreach activities in the SLA for DHT to deliver
to the community
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 - To provide a grant of £59,160
to enable DHT to continue providing their services to Dacorum
residents and also supporting a number of local Historic Societies
to store and care for their artefacts.
Option 2 - To end the financial support of the DHT and thus risk
losing key historic artifacts.
